About Highlander
Established in 1995, Highlander is a privately owned technical training company which offers a wide range of courses on creative and technical software packages.
Highlander and Adobe
Originally the UK's first Allaire authorised ColdFusion training provider in the mid 90's, we became a Macromedia training provider following their acquisition of Allaire in Jan 2001. In the mean time we had also started offering Adobe product courses, so when Macromedia was later acquired by Adobe in March 2005, we were one of the only UK training providers already working with both the creative Adobe products and the developer tools from Macromedia.
Today Highlander is one of the UK's leading providers of Adobe software training and is an Adobe Authorised Training Provider. All of the instructors that teach for us hold Adobe Certified Instructor and Adobe Certified Expert status for their respective subjects. We are also a former winner of the Macromedia European Training Partner of the Year award.
Highlander and Google
Highlander has a long history of web analytics having originally been a WebTrends authorised training provider back at the turn of the century. By 2004 we were on the lookout for a better Analytics solution for our clients and came across a product called Urchin which we started offering courses on. Within about 6 months of this the product was acquired by Google (yep somebody was feeling very chuffed for having picked a winner that day) and we became an official Google Analytics Partner.
Today we run a number of course which are related to technologies like Google Adwords and Google Analytics, as well as Internet Marketing in general. We continue to be a Google Analytics Partner and our courses are run by a Google Analytics Authorised Consultant and a Google Adwords Certified Professional.
Highlander and the Institute of IT Training
The Institute's Accreditation is recognised as the de facto standard in the IT training industry today and is now a requirement for the majority of training tenders in Government and corporations.
